LEAM-Q is a no fuss AM machine build for production. If it is prototypes you urgently need or a small volume production, the machine will deliver. LEAM-Q can print parts and machine features on a layer by layer basis. The small frame machine has 3 x cartesian axis (1) for the milling spindle, which will allow machining in between printing of parts. The milling spindle (2) has automatic tool changer capability and up to 20,000 rpm for high-speed machining. The machine is built around a ‘flying optic system’ (3), patents pending, which is moving the laser beam over the powder bed. In its basic configuration the machine comes with a minimum of 2x flying optics fibre lasers (3) having a maximum power of 500 watt. On the machine base (5) the 4Z build tank & plate (4) is assembled, building a strong structure with the machine. The combination of 4Z tank and laser optics allow us to build such a compact machine, which is up to 40% smaller in footprint then other laser beam powder bed fusion machines.
