LEAM-Q Operation

4Z Tank starts in the lowest position (A) and for each layer the top of the tank moves vertically up the equivalent value of the layer height. This new patented technology allows us to mount build plate directly onto the machine frame, making it a solid foundation for printing. Laser and optional machining spindle are lowered above the build surface. The tank track elements fold onto the machine floor and are stored in the machine structure. (B) Lasers and machining spindle are raised with the tank (B) for each layer and kept at optimum distance. Depending on the machine the 4Z Tank can travel into the highest position. This position will be used to start powder and part removal. (C)The tank will be slowly lowered and powder removed, (D)Laser & milling spindle stay in the highest positioned during part removal.

4Z Powder Bed Tank

4Z Powder Bed Tank

The 4Z System is designed to improve machine stiffness during build and allows to machine the parts during prints. Build plate deflection during builds are almost eliminated and vibrations reduced. This allows us to reduce total machine sizes by 40%, which allows us to build very tall build tanks. Standard Tank height up to 1500 mm, custom tanks up to 3000 mm
The 4Z tank is used for Laser and Electron Beam additive processes.

4Z Tank, The build plate is fixed to the machine and the tank track's move layer by layer up. Build plate is not moving and therefore does not deform. Conventional tank, build plate is mounted onto a shaft
structures  and moves down into the tank. This requires 40% more machine height and is structural unstable.

LEAM-Q CNC Control

LEAM-Q CNC Control

The LEAM_Q Control is a extreme fast system with multi coordinate system technology. This technology allows us to control up to 12 Laser independently per CPU. With our proprietary CTHMI we can run up to 4 CPU's allowing us to operate a total of 48 Lasers independently. The Control is based on Omron hardware with its legendary reliability.
